Westshore Alert Public Alert Notification System

In the event of a public safety incident, West Shore Alert will be used to deliver critical and potentially life-saving alerts to residents who have registered. This information can help you and your family know what to do, where to go and what to expect. This notification system will send alerts for public safety incidents such as earthquakes, wildfires, tsunamis or evacuation notices. On occasion you may receive a test notification to validate the system. Notifications will be received by: Home phone, cellphone, email, or text message. You will only receive notifications if you sign up for this service. If you choose not to sign up, information may still be made available through the Town of View Royal and View Royal Fire Department websites, local media, and social media. In the case of a public safety incident, the Public Alert Notification System (PANS) will be used to deliver critical and potentially life-saving alerts to residents who have registered. This information can help you and your family know what to do, where to go, and what to expect.

You will only receive notifications if you sign up for this service, however, information will still be available through local media coverage and your local Emergency Program.

  2. Provide email address or phone/text number
  3. You will receive a code by text or email. Enter the code in the field provided.
  4. Set your home location by providing your address e.g. View Royal (or you can choose more than one if you wish i.e. Westshore)
  5. If you have a smartphone download the “Alertable App”
