In the case of a public safety incident, the Public Alert Notification System (PANS) will be used to deliver critical and potentially life-saving alerts to residents who have registered. This information can help you and your family know what to do, where to go, and what to expect.

PANS will send alerts for public safety incidents such as earthquakes, wildfires, tsunami alerts, or evacuation notices. On occasion you may receive a test notification to validate the system.

Notifications can be received by:

  • Home phone
  • Cell phone
  • Work phone
  • Email
  • SMS Text Message

You will only receive notifications if you sign up for this service, however, information will still be available through local media coverage and your local Emergency Program.
