Our goal is to help residents prepare for disasters and emergencies so they can look after themselves, their families and neighbours. The View Royal Emergency Management Division provides free information sessions throughout the year regarding emergency preparedness . We hold two workshops during Emergency Preparedness week in May as well as a winter session in November and additional workshops as opportunities arise or upon request.
We also coordinate and participate in public events where we provide additional outreach to our community to answer questions and disseminate emergency preparedness information. A few of these events include:
- Emergency Preparedness Fair and Display at JDF Senior Centre
- Colwood Fire Department Open House
- View Royal Fire Department Open House
- Great BC Shakeout
- Emergency Preparedness Week
If you wish to arrange an Emergency Preparedness Workshop for your neighbourhood, strata or organization, please contact the View Royal Emergency Management Division at 250-479-7322 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
